Easter Egg Hunt!

Easter Egg Hunt

The Boys & Girls Club of Flagstaff is partnering up with Bridge Church who will help us in hosting a FREE week long Easter Egg Hunt. This is where you or your businesses can help us. All you have to do is post a Easter Egg cut out that we can provide or decorate your own at your locations. Participants can snap a photo from the comforts of their vehicles and collect as many as they can in a week. Let us know if you want to participate. Help us in sharing or tagging your favorite businesses. More details to follow. #Easter #RideNSeekFLG #photo #Flagstaff

Live Update: Club to Reopen

Boys & Girls Club of Flagstaff Will Open Clubs for Impacted Families

In response to the closings of Flagstaff Unified school district, Boys & Girls Club of Flagstaff is opening its Cogdill Club during school hours to serve our members and the greater community starting MARCH 30th, 2020. We came to this decision, despite the increase in costs, to be able to support our community.

We are monitoring the situation closely and will continue to operate as long as we are able to provide a safe environment for young people. As always, we place the safety of our youth and staff at the highest level.

Serving youth who need us the most.

As an organization, we are working hard to be a reliable partner for our families and the families of those emergency health care, public safety, and essential service workers.  This is not a decision that we have come to lightly – your health and safety is our top priority.

Clubs are available to current members and open to new members with priority being given to healthcare and essential employees. Space is limited based on our capacity.

We are open to serve families that are not able to telecommute for their work and children that rely on the school systems for daily meals.

If your child(ren) shows any symptoms or falls into CDC criteria of high risk, keep them home.

Additionally, if you can keep your child(ren) at home due to the ability to take time off or employer who allows you to telecommute, please do so.

All BGCF Clubs Closed

All along we promised to stay open for as long as we were following recommended federal and state guidelines, while keeping our kids and staff safe. The new guidelines and Declaration from the City of Flagstaff released, schools and childcare facilities are no longer exempt from closure and encourage everyone to stay at home. We will be working to address food concerns and helping parents during these times.

Corona Virus

Safety is the number one priority of Boys & Girls Clubs of Flagstaff, and we are doing everything possible to keep children, our staff, and volunteers protected from the COVID-19 virus. We continue to monitor all updates from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Coconino health department for updated information. We are advising all staff, families, and youth members to take precautions as recommended by the CDC, and providing additional resources like handwashing guides, and information about how to talk to young people about the spread of COVID-19.

At this time, the Club will remain open, with the following additional safety precautions in place:

• Here is a list of additional precautions the Club is taking to prevent spread. Hand washing once members enter the Club, additional sanitation efforts from our staff and janitorial services, communications with kids, communications with families/parents about hygiene.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Flagstaff is the only place that some of the families in our community can turn to when schools are closed. We are monitoring this diligently and will continue to operate as long as we are able to provide a safe environment for young people. As always, we place the safety of our youth and staff at the highest level.
